Within a 15-minute drive, visit petworth with antique shops, beautiful stately home, capability gardens and open-air concerts, and charming midhurst, famous for polo at cowdray park. Goodwood is twenty minutes, with its motor and horse racing, fontwell races, west dean gardens, parham house, and weald and downland museum; chichester and west wittering with award-winning sandy beach are ½ hour away. Shops 600 yards, pub 400 yards.
