Located in the historic market town of dronfield we are perfectly situated as a base to explore the peak district. The building was sympathetically updated and re-designed in 2009 and mixes the contemporary with the traditional to stunning effect. There is a delightful traditional bar with original stone walls and wooden beams where you can enjoy a glass of wine or local beer. Each room has been individually designed and offers free wi-fi plasma tv tea and coffee making facilities hairdryer iron and ironing board. Local shops restaurants and attractions are two minutes walk. Free onsite parking is available for all our guests and we have a 24hr front desk. Ten minutes drive and you are in the magnificent peak district with its popular nature trails historic buildings and tourist attractions. Another 5 minutes and you will arrive at the chatsworth house estate and gardens 1 of the uks most famous country houses. Sheffield city centre with all its leisure sports and entertainment facilities is only a fifteen minute drive away. Don valley and the sheffield arena is a straight fifteen minute drive closer in terms of time than many of the sheffield centre hotels. For the serious shopper meadowhall 1 of europes largest retail parks is the same distance. The historic town of chesterfield is ten minutes drive in the opposite direction. Its' busy shops and markets are situated within the shadow of its famous crooked spire. Dronfield station is two minutes walk with regular services to sheffield and chesterfield. Taxis are twenty for a return trip.
