Job Details Role Title:Firearms Enquiry Manager : HC616685 Location:Mottisfont Court, Winchester Starting salary:Scale PO2, GBP 40,950 : GBP 44,394 per annum Contract: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Closing Date:Sunday 9th June 2024 at 23:59 hours Are you looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting for a full time Firearms Enquiry Manager who will manage and develop the team of Firearms Enquiry Officers on a daily basis. This is a challenging but rewarding role, and while development training will be provided, applicants should provide evidence of experience in the areas of firearms within a similar sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective firearms licensing service to members of the public in line with the force vision and priorities. This particular vacancy will be located at Operational HQ in Winchester, but travel to various locations through Hampshire and Isle of Wight will be required. Do you have experience working in a specialised customer focused environment? Do you have risk assessment and report writing skills? Are you a confident and clear communicator? Do you have experience working in strict guidelines or legislation? Are you competent in the use and safe handling of firearms and shotguns? Report writing: Please tell us about your experience collating assessment findings into reports, guided by legislation. Communication: Please provide us with an example of when you have had to communicate an unsatisfactory outcome to a customer and how you dealt with this.
